Nottingham Forest is synonymous with football greatness – it doesn’t take long for any conversation with a Reds fan to move towards talking about the legendary European Cup wins in ’79 and ’80!
But not many people know that Forest also offer BTEC Level 3 sports courses through the Nottingham Forest Community Trust! So they came to us to create a promo video to highlight these courses and showcase the exciting opportunities available at Forest, making it more appealing to young Reds fans than attending a typical sixth form college.
Having worked with Nottingham Forest Community Trust on various projects in the past, and being Nottingham born and bred, Boxset Media Ltd was honoured to take this on.
Our concept was to create a video told entirely from the students’ perspective, hearing their passion firsthand as they talk directly into the lens, forging a strong connection with the audience of parents and potential students.
We naturally filmed this at the legendary City Ground stadium, along with lots of footage of students in their classes, training matches, and some stylish ‘hero shots’ of the students.
The only real challenge we faced was resisting the urge to run on the pitch! But we stayed professional throughout!
Our long expertise in interviewing a wide range of people and weaving stories together in the edit made this video exactly the kind of project we excel at (and love doing!) The final video successfully showcased both the practical and theoretical aspects of the BTEC course in a stylish and dynamic way.
The promo video had a significant impact. It led to an increase in applications to the BTEC course, which is now known as one of the best sports courses in the country.
