Music Mark is a national organisation supporting music education across the UK. For their annual conference they wanted a conference highlights video that captured the energy of the event and the conversations happening across the sector. The event was held at the East Midlands Conference Centre in Nottingham – a venue we know inside out! As a Nottingham-born business we’ve filmed countless events there over the years, so when Music Mark chose the venue it made perfect sense for us to step in!
Because Music Mark is a charity organisation, we worked with them to keep the production efficient while still delivering a powerful end result. A single camera operator filmed throughout the full day, capturing the arrivals, networking, sessions and breakout activities across the conference. We also recorded vox pop interviews with teachers, music leaders and attendees to add personal insight into the film. Together with the interviews, we captured plenty of visually engaging moments from the day, including demonstrations of cool new music technology and hands-on activities happening around the venue.
The final conference highlights video brings together the key moments from the day into a fast-paced 90-second film designed for sharing online and encouraging attendance at next years event. As well as the finished edit, Music Mark also received a collection of selected raw footage and interview clips, giving them a useful bank of content they can reuse again and again throughout the year.
