The 125 Winter Fuel Fund was set up by Leicester residents Paul and Sue Newman in 2010 to allow people to redistribute their winter fuel allowance to those that needed it more than them. We were approached by the Leicestershire and Rutland Community Foundation to produce a charity video to highlight this great cause.
The charity video productions main purpose was to encourage those in Leicester who did not need their Winter Fuel allowance to donate it to a great cause – Age UK in Leicester or the Ourspace Appeal at the Leicester Royal Infirmary’s Children’s Cancer Ward. We felt the best way to do this was to speak to those who directly benefited from the charities.
Presented with emotive music, slow motion cutaways and cinematic editing, our poignant interviews with those affected by cancer and the elderly told a very human story effortlessly. The subtle approach to the charity video edit and presentation helped present the stories in an honest way.
So far, over £30,000 has been raised for these great causes.
