Active Iron came to us with an idea for a very exciting video project.
They’re an approved supplier to Loughborough University, home to some of the UK’s top future athletes. Since their supplement is widely recommended, they wanted to make the most of this by capturing genuine testimonials from a broad range of student athletes in a major social media video campaign.
Because we already had a strong relationship with Loughborough University going back several years, they came straight to us. We worked with them to develop their idea, knowing from the start that this was going to be something pretty exciting!
After the initial pre-production and scripting phase, we went straight into filming at Loughborough over three days.
As well as capturing interviews with a wide range of athletes, we filmed almost every sport happening on campus – rugby, hockey, athletics and football. We filmed in the gym and by the swimming pool (though not literally IN the pool thankfully!).
We covered the entire campus, capturing high-energy, handheld shots that felt cinematic while maintaining the raw intensity you’d expect from a sports supplement brand.
Back in the edit suite, we worked through all the footage and created a series of fast-paced, impactful videos. We used slick motion graphics based on the Active Iron brand and dynamic editing to ensure maximum impact.
Each video was built around the athletes’ positive testimonials, bringing their stories to life. The final edits made a huge impact.
By the end of the project, we had delivered over 15 videos, all formatted and optimised for social media to ensure maximum reach and value.
There is still so much potential for more edits from this project because of the incredible content we captured. And who knows?
We might just see some of the athletes we filmed standing on the podium at the next Olympics!
