Nominated Best Corporate Film at the RTS Midlands Awards
This prestigious New York University offers students the chance to take part of their study in London. Boxset Media was chosen to create a slick promotional video to advertise the course to prospective student in the US.
The plan for the promotional video was to showcase the capital’s business and social opportunities through intimate interviews with visiting students and a wealth of filmic footage shot all across London.
Our crew filmed all over London in only a few days – taking In Canary Wharf and Piccadilly Circus to Chelsea FC’s Stamford Bridge ground and even the London Eye! Sweeping aerial shots over the Thames combined with elegant jib crane shots of the college and cinematic-interviews, the high-class quality of the promotional video effortlessly matches the quality of Fordham University itself.
We found a few hours to talk to the current students and interview them on camera about their experience of London. Despite a few hangovers, the interviews were brilliant! Plus by filming their responses direct to camera, the audience were able connect to the students on a much greater level, adding more depth to the promotional video. Comments about driving on the wrong side of the road were of course cut out in the edit!
The promotional video was subsequently nominated for a Royal Television Society Award for Best Promotional Programme. The glittering ceremony was attended by guests from the British and American television industry.
